Velodyne Lidar has acquired Bluecity, a Montreal-based AI software company that provides lidar-based analytics and traffic/safety solutions. The all-stock deal brings Bluecity's software, development and sales teams into Velodyne to integrate Bluecity's SaaS analytics with Velodyne's lidar sensors and Vella perception software to expand intelligent infrastructure and autonomous vision capabilities.
