Odyssey Investment Partners Acquires NSi Industries

An affiliate of Odyssey Investment Partners has acquired NSi Industries from Blue Sea Capital LLC; financial terms were not disclosed. NSi, a Huntsville, North Carolina–headquartered supplier of electrical connectors, fittings, controls and wire-management products, will be led by its existing management team which invested in the transaction and will continue to operate the business under Odyssey's ownership.

Sentinel Capital Partners Acquires ECM Industries

Sentinel Capital Partners has acquired ECM Industries, a New Berlin, Wisconsin-based manufacturer and supplier of branded electrical products (including Gardner Bender, King Innovation and Bergen) from Genstar Capital. Terms were not disclosed; Sentinel said it will partner with ECM management to build an electrical-products platform and pursue multiyear growth across core markets and adjacencies.

Lennox International completed the acquisition of NSI Industries' HVAC division, including the Duro Dyne and Supco brands, expanding its HVAC parts and supplies portfolio. Sentinel Capital Partners has acquired the industrial fire business from Carrier Global Corporation for an enterprise value of $1.425 billion and launched Spectrum Safety Solutions as a standalone platform. Spectrum, headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, comprises the Det-Tronics, Marioff, Autronica and Fireye brands, has ~1,400 employees and manufacturing sites in the United States, Norway and Finland.

nVent Electric plc Acquires ECM Industries from Sentinel Capital Partners for $1.1B

nVent Electric plc agreed to acquire ECM Investors, LLC (parent of ECM Industries) from Sentinel Capital Partners for $1.1 billion, subject to customary adjustments. ECM, a New Berlin, Wisconsin-based manufacturer of electrical connectors, tools, test instruments and cable management with ~1,400 employees, will operate within nVent's Electrical and Fastening Solutions segment to expand nVent's product offering and address high-growth verticals.
