The deal expands Cadman/Backs’ footprint in the packaging and printing sector, adding manufacturing capabilities that serve FMCG and other consumer brands across the UK and Europe.

The Sterling Group Acquires Polychem Corporation

The Sterling Group, a middle-market private equity firm, has completed the acquisition of Polychem Corporation, a Mentor, Ohio-based manufacturer of polyester (PET) and polypropylene strapping and related securement packaging equipment. The transaction gives Sterling a platform in the securement packaging sector with Polychem’s vertically integrated manufacturing and PET recycling capabilities to serve food & beverage, consumer packaged goods and industrial customers.

Macfarlane Group Acquires Polyformes Limited

Macfarlane Group PLC has acquired 100% of Polyformes Limited for up to £11.5 million in cash (including an earn-out of up to £4.8 million over two years). Polyformes, a Leighton Buzzard–based foam converter with about 60 employees, generated £9.3 million of revenue and approximately £1.5 million of EBITDA for year ended 31 December 2023; the deal is intended to expand Macfarlane's protective packaging capabilities and accelerate its buy-and-build strategy.

Charter Next Generation Acquires Polymer Film & Bag, Inc.

Cathay Investments Acquires Mercian Logistics

Arcane Plastics / Arcane Capital Partners Acquires Poly-Tech Plastic Molding

Arcane Plastics, backed by Arcane Capital Partners and an investment from Bluehenge Capital Partners, has acquired Prairie Grove-based Poly-Tech Plastic Molding, a custom injection-molding and extrusion company. The deal expands Arcane's production capacity (adding a 65,000-square-foot facility), broadens its customer base across multiple end markets, and supports a platform strategy to consolidate plastics manufacturing capabilities in North America.
