Robinhood Acquires WonderFi for CA$250M to Enter Canadian Market

Robinhood is acquiring Canada-based crypto trading platform WonderFi in an all-cash deal valued at approximately $178.56 million (CA$250 million). The acquisition gives Robinhood access to WonderFi’s regulated platforms (Bitbuy and Coinsquare), more than 1.6 million registered Canadian users and roughly C$1 billion in assets under custody, accelerating Robinhood’s expansion into Canada.

Global Blue Acquires ZigZag Global from Circularity Capital

Rakuten Symphony Acquires Robin.io

Rakuten Symphony has agreed to acquire Robin.io, a Silicon Valley cloud-native technology provider, to integrate Robin.io's multi-cloud mobility, automation and orchestration capabilities into Rakuten Symphony's telco-cloud portfolio. The acquisition (terms confidential) will accelerate Rakuten Symphony's cloud-native offering for mobile operators and enterprises; Partha Seetala will become President of Rakuten Symphony's Unified Cloud business unit following the closing.

Robinhood–Susquehanna JV Acquires 90% of MIAX Derivatives Exchange (MIAXdx)

A joint venture formed by Robinhood Markets and Susquehanna International Group acquired 90% of MIAX Derivatives Exchange (MIAXdx) from Miami International Holdings, which retained a 10% stake. The deal gives Robinhood and SIG a CFTC‑registered designated contract market and derivatives clearing organization to accelerate the firms' entry and capability expansion into prediction markets and derivatives trading.

Recharge Acquires Giftcloud from Groupon

Recharge, the European prepaid payments platform, has acquired UK-based digital rewards provider Giftcloud Limited from Groupon to accelerate its expansion into the B2B rewards and corporate prepaid market. The deal adds a profitable, scalable platform (serving clients such as Vodafone, Sky and TalkTalk) and follows Recharge's €45M acquisition facility with ABN AMRO to support international M&A.

Nuts Groep Acquires Robin Mobile

Nuts Groep B.V. has acquired mobile telecom provider Robin Mobile Holding B.V. from Ramphastos Investments and Robin Mobile founder Wilfred Rottier. The undisclosed deal adds mobile services (an MVNO) to Nuts Groep's energy, fixed-telecom and internet portfolio as part of its strategy to broaden products and services across the Benelux.
