River Associates Investments, a Chattanooga-based lower-middle market private equity firm, acquired Hoskin Scientific Limited, a Burnaby, British Columbia–based value-added distributor of test, measurement and monitoring equipment. The transaction closed on December 30, 2021, and was funded with equity from River VII with debt financing provided by Bank of Montreal and PNC Mezzanine Capital.

EcoTech manufactures, blends, packages and distributes water treatment chemicals locally; Hawkins said it will maintain EcoTech’s community connections while using the tuck-in to accelerate regional water treatment growth.
