Stuart Steel Protection (owned by Integrated Utility Services) has agreed to acquire the assets of Colorado-based Northwestern Cathodic, expanding SSP's geographic footprint into Colorado and South Carolina and roughly doubling its workforce. The asset purchase will broaden SSP's corrosion-control product offerings and service capacity; Northwestern Cathodic Founder & President Chris Moore will join SSP as Chief Strategy Officer.

SPS Companies Acquires ESP Specialty Steel Products from Lone Star Investment Advisors

Lone Star Investment Advisors has sold its portfolio company ESP Specialty Steel Products LLC, a Houston-based master distributor of stainless steel products, to SPS Companies, Inc. of Manhattan, Kansas. The acquisition marks SPS's first entry into stainless steel markets and distribution; Montrose Advisors advised on the transaction and legal counsel was provided to both parties.
