Nelnet Business Services, a division of Nelnet, Inc., has acquired Catholic Faith Technologies (CFT), an Overland Park, Kansas–based provider of a cloud-based learning management platform (also operating under the CD2 Learning brand). The acquisition expands Nelnet's church and faith-based technology offerings and brings CFT's SaaS learning platform and services into Nelnet's portfolio; CFT leadership will remain in place.

Thoughtworks Acquires Toronto-based Product Development Consultancy Connected

Thoughtworks has acquired Connected, a Toronto-based product development consultancy with over 165 employees, to strengthen its customer experience, product and design (CXPD) capabilities and expand its presence in Canada. Connected’s full team will join Thoughtworks, and Connected leadership will take roles within Thoughtworks’ Canada organization; financial terms were not disclosed.

Cordance Acquires FieldConnect

The deal expands CloudScale365’s presence in the Tri-State/Northeast market and brings Your Tech Team’s managed services, cybersecurity and cloud capabilities and client relationships into CloudScale365’s platform; owner Richard O’Keefe will join as Managing Director of the Tri‑State Market.

WorkWave Acquires TEAM Software

WorkWave, a PE-backed provider of field service SaaS solutions, has signed an agreement to acquire TEAM Software, a leading provider of software for cleaning, janitorial, security, and facilities management service providers. The deal (expected to close end of September 2021) is an add-on to WorkWave’s portfolio that expands its vertical coverage and international footprint; TEAM was previously backed by Accel-KKR.

Gloo Acquires Faith Assistant (formerly Bible Chat)

Gloo, the faith-ecosystem technology platform based in Boulder, Colorado, has acquired Faith Assistant (previously Bible Chat), a provider of custom conversational AI and chatbots for churches, ministries and faith-based organizations. The deal brings Faith Assistant's AI capabilities and customer base into Gloo's platform to expand trusted, ministry-specific AI offerings and scale the product across Gloo's network.
