Forum Energy Technologies (FET) completed the acquisition of Variperm Energy Services for $150 million in cash plus 2 million shares of FET common stock, a transaction reflecting approximately 3.7x Variperm's trailing twelve months EBITDA. The deal brings Variperm's sand and flow control and downhole technology capabilities into FET's completions and downhole product portfolio, broadening FET's product offering and global reach; Variperm was a portfolio company of SCF Partners and has ~290 employees across North America.

Ranger Energy Services Acquires PerfX Wireline Services

(NYSE: RNGR) completed the acquisition of PerfX Wireline Services on July 8, expanding its Mallard wireline business alongside the recent Patriot Completion Services acquisition. The transactions add significant assets (wireline trucks, pumps, cranes), eight locations and 27 customers, and include a warrant giving Ranger a 30% ownership option in XConnect; Ranger issued shares and assumed certain equipment-related debt as part of the combined deals.

Varsteel Acquires Pacific Steel

Petronas Chemicals Group Acquires Perstorp from PAI Partners

Petronas Chemicals Group Berhad (PCG) has agreed to acquire Perstorp Holding AB from PAI Partners for EUR 2.3 billion on a cash- and debt-free basis. Perstorp, a Sweden-based specialty chemicals manufacturer with ~1,500 employees and global manufacturing and R&D sites, will extend PCG's geographic footprint and specialty-chemicals capabilities pending regulatory and shareholder approvals.
