Mogo Inc. Acquires Canadian Investment Dealer Fortification Capital Inc. (to be Renamed MogoTrade)

Mogo Inc. completed the acquisition of Canadian registered investment dealer Fortification Capital Inc., which will be renamed MogoTrade. The deal gives Mogo the necessary regulatory licenses, registrations and technology (including an order management system and market data processing) to accelerate the launch of its commission-free stock trading platform.

Global Payments Acquires Worldpay in Three-Way Transaction with FIS and GTCR

Global Payments has completed the acquisition of Worldpay from GTCR and FIS for $24.25 billion in cash and stock as part of a three-way transaction that also saw FIS acquire Global Payments' Issuer Solutions business for $13.5 billion. GTCR will receive a mix of cash and Global Payments stock and will retain approximately 15% ownership in the combined company; the transactions reposition Global Payments as a leading pure-play commerce solutions provider and bolster FIS' issuing capabilities.
