RBC Bearings Incorporated has acquired the business assets of Specline, Inc., a Carson City, Nevada-based manufacturer of precision bearings for the commercial and defense aerospace markets, for $18.7 million. The acquisition (Specline employs 38 people and generated approximately $8.4 million in trailing twelve-month sales) expands RBC's aerospace product offering and increases its production capacity.

RBC Bearings Acquires VACCO Industries from ESCO Technologies

RBC Bearings Incorporated has completed the acquisition of VACCO Industries from ESCO Technologies for $275 million in cash, subject to post-closing adjustments. VACCO, headquartered in South El Monte, California, manufactures precision valves, manifolds, regulators and other mission-critical components for space and naval defense channels and will be integrated into RBC's Aerospace and Defense segment.

Timken Acquires American Roller Bearing Company

The Timken Company has acquired the assets of American Roller Bearing Company (ARB), a North Carolina-based manufacturer of industrial bearings that generated more than $30 million in sales in 2022. The asset purchase brings ARB's installed base, aftermarket business and two manufacturing facilities in Hiddenite and Morganton, North Carolina into Timken; the Succop family, which founded and owned ARB, sold the business.

Cablecraft Motion Controls Acquires Radial Bearing Corp.

The add-on expands Cablecraft's product offerings and strengthens its presence in aerospace, defense, and industrial end markets as part of Torque's Cable Manufacturing & Assembly platform.

Hummock Industries Acquires National Bronze Manufacturing

Hummock Industries (Reading, Pennsylvania) has acquired Roseville, Michigan-based National Bronze Manufacturing, a producer and distributor of precision machined bronze bearings, bushings, wear plates and copper alloy bar and tube. Hummock said the purchase complements its subsidiary Heyco Metals, diversifies revenue streams and provides a platform to grow downstream into value-added engineered products.

Peak Rock Capital Affiliate Acquires Rochester Midland Corporation

An affiliate of Peak Rock Capital has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Rochester Midland Corporation, a 135-year-old specialty chemical supplier headquartered in Rochester, New York. Peak Rock will partner with the Calkins family and RMC management to accelerate growth, pursue complementary acquisitions, and expand the company’s production, geographic footprint, and service offerings.
