Resonetics Acquires Caribou Technologies

Resonetics, a PE-backed contract manufacturer, has acquired Caribou Technologies, a Blaine, Minnesota-based supplier of centerless grinding, forming, coiling, machining and laser processing for the medical device industry. The deal expands Resonetics' manufacturing capabilities and adds capacity and expertise in neurovascular, structural heart and other interventional device markets.

Resonetics Acquires Memry Corporation and SAES Smart Materials

Resonetics (backed by Carlyle and GTCR) agreed to acquire Memry Corporation and the SAES Medical Nitinol business (SAES Smart Materials) from SAES Getters S.p.A., a deal valued at $900 million and completed in 2023. The transaction expands Resonetics' nitinol material and component manufacturing capabilities across facilities in Bethel, Connecticut; New Hartford, New York; and Menlo Park, California, adding roughly 550–600 employees and enhanced EDM, laser processing, tubing, wire and melt-to-component capabilities for medical device customers.

Carlyle Acquires Minority Stake in Resonetics

Funds managed by Carlyle have acquired a significant minority equity stake in Resonetics, valuing the specialized medical device contract manufacturer at approximately $2.25 billion. Carlyle will join existing investor GTCR as a meaningful shareholder while Sverica retains a minority position; the investment will support Resonetics’ continued organic growth, international expansion and add-on acquisition strategy.

Medical Manufacturing Technologies Acquires R&D Engineering from Biomerics

Medical Manufacturing Technologies (MMT), a portfolio company of Arcline Investment Management, has acquired R&D Engineering from Biomerics to expand its catheter manufacturing and automation technologies. R&D Engineering will continue to operate in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, and the acquisition strengthens MMT's end-to-end medical device manufacturing solutions; Cowen served as financial advisor to MMT.

Resonetics Acquires Eden Holdings to Add Injection Molding and Precision Tooling

Resonetics has acquired Eden Holdings (comprising Eden Manufacturing and Eden Tool), adding precision micro-molding, insert-molding, and advanced machining and tooling to its MedTech manufacturing capabilities. The deal expands Resonetics' polymer and tooling capabilities to better serve medical device OEM end markets including robotic surgery, minimally invasive surgery, electrophysiology, and rapid diagnostics.

Regnology Acquires VERMEG's AGILE RegTech Division

Regnology has acquired VERMEG's regulatory reporting division, AGILE, and will integrate the solution into the Regnology Platform to expand its regulatory reporting capabilities and international footprint. The deal transfers AGILE’s suite—used by 150+ banks globally—into Regnology’s cloud-native offering, while VERMEG refocuses on collateral management and insurance solutions.
