NVIDIA Acquires Cumulus Networks

NVIDIA announced plans to acquire Cumulus Networks, the Mountain View–based developer of Cumulus Linux and open networking software for data-center switches. The acquisition expands NVIDIA’s networking software capabilities—enabling deeper integration across chips, switching hardware (including NVIDIA Mellanox Spectrum) and network operating software to support accelerated, software-defined data centers.
