Toronto-based GrowerIQ has acquired fellow cannabis software provider Ample Organics from U.S.-based Akerna in an all-cash deal that closed in December; financial terms were not disclosed. The acquisition brings Ample's seven employees onto GrowerIQ's ~25-person team and combines two seed-to-sale ERP platforms to create what GrowerIQ calls the largest cannabis tech platform in Canada (and a stronger position in Europe).

Canopy USA (Canopy Growth) Completes Acquisition of Acreage Holdings

The transaction consolidates Canopy USA's U.S. cannabis assets (including Wana and Jetty) into a unified, brand-focused platform to realize cost synergies, expand retail and product reach across Midwestern and Northeastern U.S. markets, and accelerate growth in state-legal markets.

LeafLink Acquires Leaf Trade

Canopy Growth Corporation entered into option agreements to acquire up to 100% of Lemurian, Inc. (Jetty), a California-based cannabis extracts and vape brand, with an aggregate upfront consideration of approximately US$69 million for ~75% of Jetty and additional consideration on exercise of the remaining option. The deal gives Canopy a strategic foothold in the California THC market and access to Jetty's solventless extraction technology and premium consumer brand as part of its U.S. THC ecosystem expansion.

(collectively “Sprout”) and also acquiring equity interests in Transport Logistics Holding Company, LLC (d/b/a Merry Go Jane / Cannveya and Canncurrent). The deal expands WM Technology’s WM Business product capabilities by adding CRM, omni-channel marketing, loyalty, compliance and analytics functionality for cannabis retailers.
