Pallet Logistics of America (PLA), a portfolio company of Silver Oak Services Partners, has acquired Pal-Serv, a pallet recycler and logistics provider with four pallet management facilities in the United States. The deal expands PLA's pallet repair, remanufacturing, brokerage and nationwide logistics capabilities and further grows the PE-backed platform's operating footprint.

The add-on expands PLA's asset-based footprint to 77 facilities and strengthens its pallet manufacturing, remanufacturing, and regional logistics capabilities in South Texas.

PLS Logistics Services Acquires D&L Transport

PLS Logistics Services, a technology-driven third-party logistics provider based in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, has acquired D&L Transport, a freight brokerage headquartered in Overland Park, Kansas. D&L will operate as an independent subsidiary with Brian DeFrain remaining president, and PLS expects the transaction to increase its annual revenue run rate to $950 million (with a projected ~$1.2 billion in 2022).

48forty Solutions Acquires Industrial Pallet

48forty Solutions, a portfolio company of Audax Private Equity, has acquired Industrial Pallet, a wooden pallet provider and recycler based in Eastford, Connecticut. The acquisition expands 48forty's footprint in the Northeast and is the sixth add-on since Audax's investment in 48forty in November 2020; terms were not disclosed.
