ICG Acquires Majority Stake in Lomond; LDC and Management Reinvest

ICG has invested in Lomond in a transaction in which LDC exits its original investment but will reinvest alongside ICG, founding Chairman Stuart Pender and Lomond management. The recapitalization provides capital to support Lomond's continued roll-up strategy and geographic expansion after the business grew from 600 to 1,900 employees and completed 65 acquisitions under LDC's ownership.

ICG Acquires Lucid Group from LDC

Alternative asset manager ICG has acquired London-headquartered healthcare communications specialist Lucid Group from mid-market private equity firm LDC. Lucid, which employs around 250 staff and provides medical education, strategic consultancy and digital services to pharmaceutical clients, was backed by LDC since 2017 and grew revenues from about £12m to over £29m during the partnership.

ECI Partners Acquires Independent Governance Group (IGG)

ECI Partners has acquired Independent Governance Group (IGG), the UK provider of professional pensions trusteeship and governance services; LDC has exited its majority stake but has reinvested alongside ECI. Crescent Capital's European Specialty Lending strategy led the debt financing to support the transaction. IGG employs more than 200 people, serves 386 pension schemes with around £324bn of assets and will pursue further organic growth and acquisitions under ECI's ownership.
