Marriott International has acquired the Postcard Cabins brand (formerly Getaway Outposts), a portfolio of 29 outposts with over 1,200 cabins, and will integrate the brand into Marriott’s planned outdoor-focused collection in 2025. Marriott also entered a long-term agreement to add Trailborn’s portfolio to its platforms; financial terms were not disclosed.

Sunset Management Company Acquires Winter Park Lodging Company and Steamboat Lodging Company

Sunset Management Company has acquired Winter Park Lodging Company and its sister business Steamboat Lodging Company from founders Chris and Sarah Bradford. The acquisition adds more than 140 vacation rental properties across Winter Park and Steamboat Springs, Colorado to Sunset Management's portfolio and continues the legacy of local, full-service short-term rental management.

Guesty Acquires Rentals United

Blackstone Real Estate Acquires Village Hotels from KSL Capital Partners

Funds managed by Blackstone Real Estate have completed the acquisition of Village Hotels from affiliates of KSL Capital Partners. Village Hotels owns and operates 33 hotels across the United Kingdom (approximately 4,400 keys) with integrated fitness clubs, food & beverage outlets and co-working spaces; Blackstone said it plans to expand the number of hotels in the UK and enhance existing facilities.

Encore Consumer Capital Acquires Chalet Desserts

Encore Consumer Capital, a San Francisco-based private equity firm focused on consumer products, has acquired Chalet Desserts, a Sacramento-based specialty manufacturer of frozen bakery desserts. Encore said it will partner with founder and CEO Dave Laukat and the existing management team to pursue organic growth, capacity investments and add-on acquisitions to expand the platform.

Casago Acquires Mountain Valley Realty

Casago, a vacation rental management and franchise operator, has acquired the vacation rental assets and operations of Mountain Valley Realty in Snowshoe, West Virginia, effective July 1, 2022. The deal expands Casago's Snowshoe footprint and adds additional lodging options for visitors while Mountain Valley founder Debbie Goodwin will continue offering real estate services locally.
