Sparq, an Atlanta-based provider of outsourced digital engineering, has acquired Kingsmen Software, a Charlotte-based engineering firm specializing in generative AI strategy and software development for the financial sector. The acquisition brings Kingsmen's FinTech, banking, payments and capital markets expertise into Sparq's platform, expanding Sparq's AI and financial-services engineering capabilities and enabling greater scale for Kingsmen's clients.

i3 Verticals, Inc. announced an acquisition effective December 31, 2021 of a 30-year-old business that provides court system data management solutions across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic, including electronic filing, case management and document imaging software for state-level customers. The deal expands i3 Verticals' Public Sector product suite and creates cross-selling opportunities; the company also granted inducement equity awards to certain employees in connection with the acquisition.

S&P Global Mobility Acquires Market Scan Information Systems

S&P Global Mobility, a division of S&P Global, has acquired Market Scan Information Systems, a provider of automotive pricing and incentive intelligence and Automotive Payments as a Service. The acquisition integrates Market Scan's payment-calculation engine and datasets into S&P Global Mobility's automotive data and sales optimization products; financial terms were not disclosed and Market Scan CEO Rusty West will remain with the company.

HBK CPAs Acquires Vertical Solutions (Renamed Vertilocity)

(BIS), a provider of software and electronic payment solutions serving state and local governments. The aggregate purchase price was approximately $87.7 million ( $52.5M cash and $35.2M Class A common stock) plus up to $16.0 million of contingent consideration; approximately 150 BIS employees joined i3 Verticals.
