DMC Global has signed a definitive agreement to acquire a 60% controlling interest in Arcadia Inc. for $282.5 million (cash and stock), with an option to acquire the remaining 40% over three years. The acquisition expands DMC's portfolio into architectural building products and will add Arcadia's ~850 employees and ~$246 million in trailing sales to DMC's operations.

The acquisition brings RPD’s renewable procurement structuring, analytics, and 24/7 carbon-free energy capabilities into Arcadia’s platform; RPD EVP Rohit Marwaha will lead Arcadia’s onsite and offsite procurement advisory offerings.

Arcadea Group Acquires Agdata Holdings (including Phoenix)

Arcadea Group, a permanent-cap investor in vertical software businesses, has acquired Agdata Holdings — the family-owned Australian firm behind the Phoenix farm management software — adding it to Arcadea's AgTech portfolio. Arcadea said it will support accelerated product development and deeper market penetration for Phoenix across the Australian agricultural sector.

Bansk Group Acquires Arcadia Consumer Healthcare from Avista Capital Partners

Bansk Group, a New York-based private investment firm focused on consumer brands, agreed to acquire Arcadia Consumer Healthcare, a U.S. consumer health platform known for OTC medicines and premium vitamins and supplements, from Avista Capital Partners. The transaction (announced Aug. 9, 2021 and completed Sept. 10, 2021) positions Bansk to expand its consumer health and wellness portfolio and accelerate brand-building and M&A-driven growth.

Arcadia Acquires Oregon Shines

Arcadia has acquired Oregon Shines, a community solar provider, in a transaction that closed on May 22, 2023. The acquisition transfers Oregon Shines' subscription portfolio of nearly 84 MWdc to Arcadia, making Arcadia the largest manager of community solar projects in Oregon; terms were not disclosed.

Alta Arbor Holdings Acquires Plant Odyssey

Alta Arbor Holdings has acquired Plant Odyssey, a Texas-based grower of finished plants operating a 40-acre facility in Kyle, Texas. Plant Odyssey — founded in 1979 and a supplier to several Texas grocers — will continue to operate under its existing name and leadership as Alta Arbor expands its horticulture portfolio in the state.
