Main Street Capital Holdings, LLC created a new precision metal manufacturing platform, Compass Precision, LLC, by acquiring Quality Products & Machine, LLC, Advanced Machining & Tooling, LLC, and Tri-Tec Industries Inc. All three acquired companies are based in the Charlotte, North Carolina area; Compass Precision will consolidate capabilities (machining, EDM, fabrication, assembly and test) to serve aerospace & defense, medical and industrial customers and pursue further add-on acquisitions.

Compass Precision Acquires Bergeron Machine

Compass Precision, a portfolio company of Main Street Capital Holdings, acquired Bergeron Machine, Inc., a Westford, Massachusetts-based precision Swiss-style machine shop. Bergeron, founded in 1948, operates a 14,700 sq ft facility with about 25 employees and ~30 CNC machines servicing semiconductor, aerospace, and defense customers; the acquisition is an add-on to expand Compass's manufacturing capabilities and geographic presence.

Cadrex Manufacturing Solutions Acquires D&R Machine Company

Cadrex Manufacturing Solutions, a portfolio company of CORE Industrial Partners, has acquired D&R Machine Company, a Southampton, Pennsylvania-based provider of high-complexity CNC precision machining for the aerospace & defense market. The add-on expands the Cadrex platform's North American aerospace manufacturing footprint and adds D&R's nearly 40-machine CNC capacity, AS9100/ISO 9001 certifications and ITAR-registered facility to the platform.

InCompass (TJM Capital Partners) Acquires Machinery Division of Mollart Engineering

InCompass, the platform company backed by TJM Capital Partners, has acquired the machinery division of Mollart Engineering, a UK-based manufacturer of deep hole drilling machine tools. The acquisition expands InCompass’s manufacturing capabilities and global footprint across end markets including defense, aerospace and automotive; financial terms were not disclosed.
