Main Street Capital Holdings, LLC created a new precision metal manufacturing platform, Compass Precision, LLC, by acquiring Quality Products & Machine, LLC, Advanced Machining & Tooling, LLC, and Tri-Tec Industries Inc. All three acquired companies are based in the Charlotte, North Carolina area; Compass Precision will consolidate capabilities (machining, EDM, fabrication, assembly and test) to serve aerospace & defense, medical and industrial customers and pursue further add-on acquisitions.

Compass Precision Acquires Bergeron Machine

Compass Precision, a portfolio company of Main Street Capital Holdings, acquired Bergeron Machine, Inc., a Westford, Massachusetts-based precision Swiss-style machine shop. Bergeron, founded in 1948, operates a 14,700 sq ft facility with about 25 employees and ~30 CNC machines servicing semiconductor, aerospace, and defense customers; the acquisition is an add-on to expand Compass's manufacturing capabilities and geographic presence.

Compass Precision Acquires Strom Manufacturing

Compass Precision, a Charlotte-based platform backed by Main Street Capital Holdings, has acquired Strom Manufacturing, a precision metal components manufacturer based in North Plains, Oregon. The transaction is an add-on to the Compass platform; founder Bill Strom and the existing management team will remain in place as Compass integrates Strom into its network of precision machine shops.

Compass Precision Acquires Trutron Corporation

Charlotte-based Compass Precision, a manufacturer of close-tolerance metal components, has acquired Trutron Corporation of Troy, Michigan. Trutron, a precision CNC and EDM shop that primarily serves the aerospace market, will join Compass as its 10th operating company; Trutron President Lisa Kingsley plans to retire while VP Ron Dobreff will remain with the business.
