UCC Environmental, a Waukegan, Illinois–based provider of engineered environmental systems for solids handling, wastewater treatment and air pollution control, received a strategic investment from Clavis Capital Partners and Green Hills Partners. The existing family owner remains a partial owner; the new capital will fund investments in talent, broaden UCC's environmental and water solutions, and accelerate international growth and market-share expansion.

Verdantas Acquires cbec eco engineering

The acquisition brings roughly 40+ water-resources and restoration specialists into Verdantas, strengthening its coastal, estuarine, riverine and wetland service offerings in California and beyond.

ALL4 Acquires VCS Environmental

The acquisition expands ALL4's wetlands, endangered species permitting, biological, cultural resource, and CEQA/NEPA capabilities and strengthens its presence in California.

City Capital Ventures Acquires Majority Stake in GreenTech Environmental

City Capital Ventures (CCV) acquired a majority stake in GreenTech Environmental, a Johnson City, Tennessee-based designer and manufacturer of indoor air purification systems, with RF Investment Partners providing debt and equity to facilitate the deal. CCV will support GreenTech’s growth by accelerating sales, marketing, and product development while the company continues to operate independently under its existing management; financial terms were not disclosed.

CAI Capital Partners Invests in DWB Consulting Services Ltd.

Vancouver-based private equity firm CAI Capital Partners has made a platform investment in DWB Consulting Services Ltd., a British Columbia-based multidisciplinary consulting firm providing environmental, forestry and engineering services. Management and employee shareholders retain a meaningful equity stake and founder Dave Bedford will remain involved in an advisory role; debt financing for the transaction was provided by CIBC.

Brookside Capital Partners Invests in Pacific Northern Environmental (PNE)

Brookside Capital Partners provided subordinated debt to Pacific Northern Environmental, LLC (PNE) to recapitalize the company and support an add-on acquisition. PNE, founded in 1996 and headquartered in Longview, Washington, is an outsourced industrial services provider specializing in industrial cleaning and maintenance, environmental remediation, emergency response, electrical maintenance and fueling-station/warehouse construction; PNE is a portfolio company of Hamilton Robinson Capital Partners.
