NexPhase Capital-backed Aztec Software has acquired iGrad, a San Diego-based web-based financial literacy and financial wellness platform. iGrad will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary led by its current CEO and expand Aztec’s suite of adult-education and workforce-training solutions by adding AI-powered financial wellness, serving colleges, employers and financial institutions. The deal is an add-on acquisition to bolster Aztec’s product capabilities in financial wellness and loan-management education.

Talentedge was valued at INR 205 Crore (~$27M) in the transaction and the Sekhsaria Family Office (former 100% owners of Talentedge) took a stake in upGrad at a post-transaction upGrad valuation of $2.0 billion. Talentedge will continue to operate under its own brand within upGrad and is projected to cross INR 150 Crore (~$20M) in gross revenue in the coming year.
