Ridgemont Equity Partners has made a growth investment in Northstar Recycling Company, LLC alongside Northstar founders Seth Goodman and Noah Goodman. Northstar is an asset-light provider of managed waste and recycling solutions serving food, consumer packaged goods and industrial clients; Ridgemont will help expand the company's service offering and scale its proprietary technology-enabled platform. Financing for the transaction was provided by Barings, Cliffwater Corporate Lending Fund and PNC Erieview Capital; financial terms were not disclosed.

Northstar Recycling Acquires Waste Technology Services

Northstar Recycling Company, LLC has acquired Waste Technology Services, LLC, combining two asset-light providers of managed waste, byproduct management and environmental consulting to strengthen technical capabilities and expand sustainability-oriented services. WTS, founded in 1982 and headquartered in Lewiston, New York, will join Northstar's platform (PE-backed after a 2021 recapitalization led by Ridgemont Equity Partners) to deliver broader recycling, reuse and reclamation solutions across specialty chemical, pharmaceutical, high-technology and industrial end markets.

TerraCycle US Acquires Complete Recycling Solutions

Trenton, New Jersey–based TerraCycle US has acquired Complete Recycling Solutions (CRS), a 21-year-old e-scrap and universal-waste processor based in Fall River, Massachusetts. The purchase adds CRS’s lamp recycling and mercury-distillation capabilities to TerraCycle’s Regulated Waste division and will keep CRS led by its former owner and co‑founder, Keith Boyea.

Meridian Waste Acquires Total Garbage LLC

Meridian Waste acquired Knoxville-based Total Garbage LLC effective Aug. 1, purchasing roll-off trucks, containers and related commercial permanent and temporary contracts. The deal densifies Meridian Waste’s Knoxville-area collection routes and increases construction & demolition (C&D) debris volumes for its Poplar View and Riverside landfills as a tuck-in add-on to its Tennessee operations.

NorthStar Group Acquires Trans Ash Inc.
