U.S. News & World Report has acquired TheCultureTrip.com from Culture Trip Travel UK Ltd., adding the travel website and its marketplace for small, insider-led group trips to U.S. News' travel franchise. The Culture Trip site — founded in London in 2011 with 75,000+ travel articles, millions of monthly users and a dedicated apps audience — will continue to operate under the Culture Trip brand; terms were not disclosed.

The transaction converted Liberty TripAdvisor’s common and preferred shares into cash and Tripadvisor stock, repaid Exchangeable Debentures, and simplified Tripadvisor’s capital structure; Tripadvisor also finalized its redomestication to Nevada.
