Sun European Partners Affiliate Acquires Allied Glass

An affiliate of Sun European Partners, LLP has completed the acquisition of Allied Glass, a Leeds-headquartered manufacturer of premium glass packaging for the spirits and food & drinks markets. Allied operates two manufacturing facilities and a dedicated decoration centre in Yorkshire; Sun European Partners said it will work with management and invest to support the company's continued development (financial terms were not disclosed).

Verallia Acquires Allied Glass

Verallia has acquired Allied Glass from an affiliate of Sun European Partners (Sun Capital affiliate) for an enterprise value of approximately £315 million. Headquartered in Leeds, Allied Glass is a UK market leader in premium glass packaging (notably for Scotch whisky and gin), with around 600 employees, four furnaces in West Yorkshire and revenues of ~£138m in 2021 (estimated >£150m in 2022).

Salice Acquires Villes 2000 S.r.l.

Arturo Salice S.p.A. (Salice Group), a Cobepa-backed manufacturer of hinges and furniture fittings, has acquired Villes 2000 S.r.l., an Italian producer of aluminium sliding systems for furniture, interior doors and shower boxes. The deal is an add-on to Salice’s platform intended to expand its sliding-systems portfolio, leverage product synergies (including the Bortoluzzi brand) and strengthen its offering to furniture and interior markets.

Verallia Acquires Vidrala's Glass Business in Italy (Corsico Plant)

Verallia has completed the acquisition of Vidrala's glass business in Italy, including the Corsico plant near Milan, for an enterprise value of €230 million. The Corsico facility (225 kt/year capacity, two furnaces) and nearly 200 employees will expand Verallia's production footprint and glass packaging offerings for the food, beer and spirits markets in Italy.

Sun European Affiliate Acquires MegaGroup Trade Holding BV

An affiliate of Sun European Partners has acquired MegaGroup, a Veghel-headquartered omnichannel wholesaler of water technic solutions serving installers, professional end-users, resellers and OEMs across Northwestern Europe. Sun European said it will use its operational toolkit and buy-and-build experience to accelerate MegaGroup’s organic growth and pursue selective acquisitions across existing and new markets.
