Huntington Ingalls Industries Acquires Fulcrum IT Services

Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) acquired Fulcrum IT Services, LLC from private equity owners Boyne Capital and Grindstone Partners for $193 million. Fulcrum, headquartered in Centreville, Virginia, provides IT and government consulting (software development, data analytics, cyber security and advanced engineering) primarily to federal defense, intelligence, education and healthcare customers and will join HII's Technical Solutions division.

African Leadership International Acquires Holberton Inc.

Integrated Water Services, in partnership with Sciens Water Opportunities Management (an affiliate of Sciens Capital), acquired 100% of Hyperion International Technologies, a control-systems and engineering services provider for water and wastewater markets. The deal expands IWS’s product and digital services capabilities in modular MBR and wastewater reuse technologies; Hyperion’s General Manager Scott Johnson will lead the business as Al Ouchie transitions to retirement.

Industrial Inspection & Analysis, Inc. (IIA), a portfolio company of Sunny River Management, has acquired IHI Southwest Technologies, Inc. (ISwT) from IHI Corporation. The acquisition, which closed April 24, 2020, expands IIA's capabilities and reach into the nuclear power generation market; ISwT will rebrand as IIA Nuclear Services and continue operating from San Antonio, Texas.

Titan Acquisition Holdings Acquires Huntington Ingalls' San Diego Shipyard

Titan Acquisition Holdings, a PE-backed ship repair and fabrication platform formed by The Carlyle Group and Stellex Capital Management, has signed an agreement to acquire Huntington Ingalls Industries' San Diego Shipyard. The acquisition expands Titan's ship repair capabilities and geographic footprint in a major U.S. naval port to better serve defense and commercial maritime customers; closing is expected in Q2 and financial terms were not disclosed.

Siemens Acquires Altair Engineering

Siemens AG has completed the acquisition of Altair Engineering Inc. for an enterprise value of approximately USD 10 billion. The deal adds Altair's capabilities in mechanical and electromagnetic simulation, high-performance computing (HPC), data science and AI to Siemens' Xcelerator platform, strengthening Siemens' industrial software and digital twin offerings.
