Universal Engineering Sciences Merges with GFA International

Universal Engineering Sciences (UES) announced a merger with GFA International, Inc., combining complementary engineering, environmental and materials testing services to expand their geographic footprint across Florida, the Southeast and Mid‑Atlantic. The combined firm will operate 26 offices with more than 1,200 employees and will integrate operations during 2020 while keeping current leadership in place.

UES Acquires Geohazards Engineering and Geology

UES, a national engineering and consulting firm, has acquired Geohazards Engineering and Geology, a Gainesville, Florida-based geology and engineering firm that specializes in forensic engineering, geotechnical engineering, geology and geophysics. The 18-person firm will continue operating from its Gainesville office as a second UES branch there, expanding UES' forensic engineering, geotechnical and geophysical capabilities.
