Rothschild & Co Bank AG Acquires Banque Pâris Bertrand

Rothschild & Co Bank AG, the Swiss wealth management subsidiary of Rothschild & Co, has acquired Geneva-based private bank Banque Pâris Bertrand, strengthening Rothschild’s presence in the Swiss market and adding complementary asset management capabilities. The deal (first announced December 2020) increases Rothschild’s Swiss client assets to over CHF 20–22 billion and was completed following shareholder and regulatory approvals.

Vontobel Acquires UBS Swiss Financial Advisers AG

Vontobel has completed the acquisition of UBS Swiss Financial Advisers AG (SFA), adding around CHF 6.0 billion of assets under management and strengthening its offering for US and qualified Canadian investors. The deal makes Vontobel (through its SEC-licensed entities) the largest Swiss-domiciled wealth manager for US clients seeking Swiss accounts; UBS will continue to refer US-connected clients seeking Swiss-based strategies to Vontobel SFA.

Rantalainen Group Acquires Klara Consulting in Sweden

The add-on deal — Rantalainen's largest to date — closed on 1 September 2023, increases Rantalainen's presence in Sweden, and leaves Ceder Capital and certain key employees as minority shareholders.

Rothschild Wealth Partners Acquires Siligmueller & Norvid Wealth Advisors

Rothschild Wealth Partners, a Chicago-based registered investment advisor and broker-dealer, has acquired Siligmueller & Norvid Wealth Advisors (SNWA), an independent Glen Ellyn, Illinois wealth advisory firm managing about $300 million in client assets. The deal expands Rothschild's presence in the Chicago area and adds SNWA’s client relationships and advisory capabilities to Rothschild’s platform.

Wren Sterling Acquires Sentinel, BKASL and Rothesay Intelligent Financial Services

Wren Sterling completed three acquisitions in the first half of 2021, buying Sentinel Private Clients Limited (Warwickshire), Bookeeping Administration Services Ltd (Cardiff) and Rothesay Intelligent Financial Services Ltd (Bedfordshire). The deals add roughly £294m of client assets and about 550 clients to Wren Sterling as it continues a roll-up strategy supported by acquisition funding partner DunPort Capital Management.

Vontobel Acquires Significant Minority Stake in Ancala Partners LLP

Vontobel has completed the acquisition of a significant minority stake in London-based infrastructure investment manager Ancala Partners LLP, marking Vontobel’s entry into private infrastructure markets and expanding its private markets capabilities. Ancala will remain independently managed by its leadership team and Vontobel may acquire further stakes over time; Ancala manages infrastructure assets across renewables, transport, utilities and the circular economy with ~EUR 4.1 billion AUM.
