IRI, a provider of big data and predictive analytics for the CPG and retail industries, has acquired Retail Solutions, Inc. (RSi), a leading provider of supply chain and on‑shelf availability analytics for CPG manufacturers and retailers. The acquisition adds RSi’s supply chain solutions and large retail/warehouse-level data assets to IRI’s Liquid Data platform to enhance end-to-end supply chain visibility and analytics capabilities; financial terms were not disclosed.

Trinity Industries Acquires Quasar Platform from Cando Rail

Trinity Industries, Inc. has acquired Quasar Platform Inc., an end-to-end rail logistics software platform, from Cando Rail & Terminals Ltd. The purchase, which closed on May 26, enhances Trinity’s Trinsight digital product suite by adding yard management, activity-based costing and new data visualization capabilities; Trinity will retain Quasar’s employees.

ShipX Acquires Princeton Logistics Group and TriStar Carriers

(TLSS) entered into an agreement to acquire substantially all assets of GRC Trucking, Inc., a 30-year intermodal logistics and drayage provider based in Kearney, New Jersey. The asset purchase (to be paid in TLSS common stock) is intended to expand TLSS' intermodal, import/export and drayage capabilities and realize operating-synergies with its PrimeEFS and ShypDirect hubs in New Jersey.

Trinity Logistics Acquires Granite Logistics

Trinity Logistics has completed the full acquisition of Granite Logistics, bringing the longtime freight agent partner into its organization and adding two Regional Service Centers in Sartell and Minneapolis, Minnesota. The deal brings approximately 135 team members into Trinity and expands its specialized capabilities in flatbed, over-dimensional, and heavy-haul freight across the Upper Midwest.
