Sandvik Acquires Osa Demolition Equipment S.r.l.

Sandvik AB has completed the acquisition of Osa Demolition Equipment S.r.l., an Italy-based manufacturer of demolition tools and hydraulic hammers headquartered in Molfetta. OSA (founded 1994) has 64 employees and reported about SEK 150 million in 2024 revenue; it will be reported as a business unit within Sandvik’s Attachment Tools division (Rock Processing). The deal is expected to have a limited impact on Sandvik’s EBITA margin and earnings per share.

Canadian heavy equipment dealer SMS Equipment has acquired Suomen Rakennuskone Oy, a Finland-based exclusive Komatsu dealer, marking SMS Equipment's first entry into the European market. Sandvik Acquires ICAM Technologies Corporation

ICAM (founded in Montreal in 1971) will be reported within Sandvik Coromant; the company has about 27 employees and 2020 revenues of roughly SEK 30 million. The deal is expected to close in Q4 2021 and strengthens Sandvik's verification and optimization offering for component manufacturing.

Valmet Acquires Demuth, Wood-Handling Equipment Provider in Brazil

Valmet Oyj has completed the acquisition of Demuth, a Brazilian provider of wood handling technology and services for the pulp industry. Demuth operates two manufacturing facilities in Rio Grande do Sul, has net sales of around EUR 20–30 million and about 400 employees; the operations will be included in Valmet's reporting from Q3 2024, strengthening Valmet's wood handling offering and local presence in South America.
