RPM International Acquires Ready Seal Inc.

RPM International Inc. has acquired Ready Seal Inc., a Texas-based manufacturer of premium exterior wood stains, adding the brand to its Rust-Oleum business within RPM’s Consumer Group. The acquisition strengthens Rust-Oleum’s exterior wood care portfolio and will leverage RPM’s sales force and distribution channels to accelerate Ready Seal’s growth; Ready Seal generated approximately $45 million in 2024 sales. Terms were not disclosed.

American Industrial Partners Acquires PPG's U.S. & Canadian Architectural Coatings Business (Pittsburgh Paints Co.)

American Industrial Partners (AIP) completed the acquisition of PPG's U.S. and Canadian architectural coatings business for $550 million and has renamed the business The Pittsburgh Paints Company. The newly independent company — a top-three producer of interior and exterior paints, stains, caulks, adhesives and sealants with more than 6,000 employees and 750 company-owned stores — will operate as a focused platform serving professional and DIY end markets across the U.S. and Canada.

APPLIED Adhesives Acquires PRIME Industries

RPM International Acquires TMP Convert SAS (TMPC)

RPM International Inc. acquired TMP Convert SAS (TMPC), a France-based manufacturer of outdoor decking and landscaping products, to integrate into its Fibergrate Structures business within the Performance Coatings Group. TMPC, known for the JOUPLAST and OCAPE brands and based in Simandre-sur-Suran, France, has annual net sales of approximately €35 million; terms were not disclosed and Thierry Convert will remain president.

Arcline Investment Management Acquires Integrated Polymer Solutions (IPS)

Arcline Investment Management acquired Integrated Polymer Solutions (IPS) from Industrial Growth Partners in a transaction that closed on July 12, 2019. IPS, headquartered in Long Beach, California with additional manufacturing in Sheffield, UK, manufactures highly engineered elastomeric components (seals, gaskets, composite tooling) for aerospace, defense, biopharma and specialty industrial end markets.

American Industrial Partners Acquires Aleris North American Rolled Products (now Commonwealth Rolled Products)

American Industrial Partners (AIP) completed its purchase of the former Aleris North American automotive and common-alloy aluminum rolled products business on December 1, 2020. The divested business (renamed Commonwealth Rolled Products) includes the Lewisport, Kentucky production facility and a Madison Heights, Michigan R&D center; AIP intends to invest in and upgrade the Lewisport mill to expand its automotive body sheet capabilities.
