Thermal Concepts Acquires Irvine Mechanical

Thermal Concepts, a Davie, Florida-based commercial HVAC services platform backed by Trivest Partners and Halmos Capital, has acquired Irvine Mechanical, an Orlando-based provider of HVAC installation, maintenance and controls services. The deal is Thermal Concepts' first add-on as a Trivest/Halmos portfolio company and is intended to add scale and expand the platform's footprint in Central Florida and the broader Southeast.

Sound Partners and Calico Group have jointly acquired Tradewinds Mechanical, LLC, a Las Vegas–based commercial HVAC‑R services company, and have combined it with acquisitions of S&R Air Conditioning (Los Angeles) and Climate Specialists (Austin) to form The Mechanical Group. The investors plan to grow a Southwest HVAC‑R platform, retain existing operating teams (with Steven Brayet serving as President and Matt Shaw as COO), and continue expanding service offerings; financial terms were not disclosed.
