HSL Compliance Acquires Jordan Environmental

West Midlands-based HSL Compliance (part of SGI Compliance Group and backed by LDC) has acquired East Anglia-based water compliance specialist Jordan Environmental. The add-on purchase expands HSL Compliance's geographic presence in the East of England and broadens its water compliance capabilities by adding Jordan Environmental's closed water treatment services.

IK Partners Acquires Majority Stake in HSL Compliance

IK Partners’ IK Small Cap III fund has agreed to acquire a majority stake in HSL Compliance, a UK environmental testing, inspection, certification and compliance (TICC) business, with the HSL management team reinvesting and LDC taking a minority reinvestment. The deal positions HSL to continue an aggressive buy-and-build strategy to expand services and coverage across the UK and Ireland; financial terms were not disclosed and the transaction is subject to regulatory approvals.

HSL Compliance Acquires RJ Urmson Group

West Midlands-based HSL Compliance has acquired Chorley-headquartered RJ Urmson Group, a fire and air ventilation compliance and water treatment specialist. The deal expands HSL's service offering into fire and ventilation safety alongside its existing water safety capabilities, is the firm's third acquisition in 12 months and increases HSL's headcount to more than 550; RJ Urmson's management will remain in place and the business will keep its branding.
