Cobalt Service Partners, a platform backed by Alpine Investors, has acquired four commercial access and security businesses: Automated Door Ways (Columbus, GA), Toepfer Security (Waukesha, WI), Industrial Door Company (Sacramento, CA), and Homeland Safety Systems (Shreveport, LA). The add-on acquisitions expand Cobalt's geographic footprint to the West Coast and Midwest and broaden its capabilities to include access control, video surveillance, overhead doors and related commercial access services.

Cobalt Service Partners, a commercial access solutions platform backed by Alpine Investors, acquired Automatic Entrances of Wisconsin (AEW), a leading automatic door installation and service provider based in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Founder Bill Holcomb retired as part of the transaction while long-time partner Jay Walt will remain with the business; the deal is an add-on to Cobalt's platform (its ninth acquisition since December 2023).

Cobalt Service Partners, a commercial access solutions platform backed by Alpine Investors, acquired Digi Security Systems, a Tulsa-based commercial security integrator founded in 2003. Digi will remain led by its current executive team as it becomes part of the Cobalt platform; the deal expands Cobalt's footprint in Oklahoma and Texas and marks the platform's seventh acquisition since December 2023.

Alpine Investors launched Vertex Service Partners, a residential home improvement services platform focused on roofing and exterior services, and announced partnerships with four regional roofing companies: Cherry Roofing & Siding, McHale Roofing, Rogers Roofing, and Victors Home Solutions. The platform, backed by Alpine, will operate the partner businesses under their existing brands and pursue organic and inorganic growth across the U.S.; terms were not disclosed.

Founded in 1999 and headquartered in Sacramento, California, Capitol Door Service has about 50 employees and reported roughly $17 million in sales in 2020; ASSA ABLOY said the deal strengthens its geographic coverage in the Western U.S. and is accretive to EPS from the start.
