AQUA Dermatology Acquires Sunrise Dermatology

AQUA Dermatology, a Palm Beach Gardens-based dermatology platform backed by Gryphon Investors and GTCR, has partnered with Sunrise Dermatology and Skin Cancer Surgery Center, a Mobile, Alabama general dermatology and Mohs surgery practice. The practice will retain its name and physicians Dr. Scott Freeman and Dr. Ryan Ramagosa will remain in leadership and reinvest a portion of proceeds; financial terms were not disclosed.

AQUA Dermatology, a PE-backed dermatology platform, has entered into a partnership to bring First Coast Mohs — a Jacksonville-based dermatology and skin cancer specialist group — into the AQUA network. The deal expands AQUA's presence in Florida (adding four facilities in the Jacksonville area) and brings specialized Mohs surgical capability to the platform; Dr. Scott Warren will continue to lead the practice and reinvest a portion of his proceeds into AQUA.

This marks Water's Edge's second add-on acquisition since Gryphon acquired the platform and follows the recent purchase of PBC Dermatology.

Sun Capital Partners and Sterling Partners Merge West Dermatology and Platinum Dermatology Partners
