Commercial Steel Products LLC (CSP), a Dallas-based value-added steel supplier, has acquired Houston-based Ace Steel Supply Inc. in a stock purchase agreement. The deal, supported by family office Gupta Capital Group, is intended to expand product diversification, strengthen capabilities, and capture synergies to better serve customers across North America.

Munch's Supply, a Marcone company, has acquired T.A. Gentry Supply, Inc., including its three Michigan branches in Lansing, Kalamazoo and Holland, expanding Munch's footprint to 70 locations across 17 states and one Canadian province. The acquisition is intended to expand Munch's presence in the plumbing segment in Michigan and complement its existing HVAC distribution network.

Brady Industries, a portfolio company of A&M Capital Partners II (Alvarez & Marsal Capital), has acquired a majority interest in Maintenance Mart, a Phoenix-based regional distributor of janitorial supplies and equipment. The add-on expands Brady's Arizona footprint with two new facilities and brings regional end-market expertise to Brady's facility- and foodservice-distribution platform.

CMG (Bolster Hardware) Acquires Potter's Ace Hardware and Multiple Ace Hardware Stores

Texas-based investment group CMG completed a series of roll-up transactions in 2022 that added more than 38 Ace Hardware storefronts across nine deals, including the purchase of 20+ Potter's Ace Hardware locations in middle Tennessee and southern Kentucky and several individual Ace franchise stores (three in Wisconsin and one in Douglasville, Georgia). CMG is combining these assets under a single platform called Bolster Hardware to scale operations, realize efficiencies, and provide succession/liquidity solutions for aging, family-owned sellers.

America's Car-Mart Acquires Texas Auto Center

America's Car-Mart, Inc. has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the dealership assets of Texas Auto Center (TAC), the two-location Austin/San Marcos used-car dealership founded by Bob and Erika Blankenship. The transaction (which excludes TAC's legacy finance receivables) is expected to close in the first quarter of Car-Mart's 2025 fiscal year and expands America's Car-Mart's footprint in the Texas market.

Meritus Gas Partners, a platform backed by AEA Investors Small Business Private Equity, completed add-on partnerships with East Bay Welding Supply (Martinez/Antioch, CA), Gulf Coast Gas & Equipment (Houston, TX) and City Carbonic (Oklahoma City, OK) to expand its national network of industrial, medical and specialty gas and welding-supplies distributors. Terms were not disclosed; in each deal the existing owners/founders will continue to lead operations and retain equity in the Meritus platform.
