Tonaquint Acquires Former EdgeX Data Center in Oklahoma City

Tonaquint acquired the former EdgeX data center facility in Oklahoma City in late 2023 and is upgrading the site from a single-client environment to a multi-tenant, initially deploying 2.5 MW of critical IT load with expansion capability up to 12 MW. The St. George, Utah–based data center operator (PE-backed by DIF Capital Partners) is refreshing infrastructure and customer spaces to target high-density and AI workloads and begin taking orders for capacity in April 2024.

EQT Infrastructure Acquires EdgeConneX from Providence Equity Partners

EQT Infrastructure (EQT Infrastructure IV) has agreed to acquire EdgeConneX, a global data center provider operating over 40 facilities across 33 markets, from an investor group led by Providence Equity Partners. The transaction is intended to support accelerated growth, new market entry and material expansions of EdgeConneX's existing locations; it was announced Aug. 19, 2020 and expected to close in Q4 2020.

Hexatronic Group Acquires USNet to Strengthen US Data Center Presence

Hexatronic Group AB (publ) has acquired USNet, a US-based data center installation and services provider headquartered in Arlington, Texas. The acquisition — financed with available cash — strengthens Hexatronic's US data center position by broadening service offerings and enabling cross-selling with its Data Center Systems business; USNet has 26 employees and approximately $10 million in annual revenue.

Acumera Acquires Netsurion's Secure Edge Networking Business

Acumera, an Austin-based edge computing and managed network SaaS provider, has acquired Netsurion's Secure Edge Networking business, including its all‑in‑one managed networking, resilience, compliance and security solution and associated development and support staff. The transaction (terms undisclosed) transfers the Secure Edge Networking product, people and customers to Acumera while Netsurion will focus on its Managed Threat Protection/MDR offerings.

Edge Centres Acquires Hyson International

Australia-based Edge Centres has acquired Hyson International, a Missouri-based provider of private cloud, colocation and decentralized hosting services aimed at the SMB market. The purchase expands Edge Centres' edge data center footprint into the United States, supporting its strategy to bring low-latency edge interconnect and colocation into US tier 2 and 3 markets.

Northstar Technologies Group Acquires Majority Ownership of Compass Quantum

Northstar Technologies Group has acquired majority ownership of Compass Quantum (Compass EdgePoint Systems) from Compass Datacenters. The deal makes Compass Datacenters a strategic partner while positioning Northstar to scale Quantum’s modular edge data center manufacturing and expand into defense, federal and AI/edge markets; financial terms were not disclosed.
