Cloud Equity Group and its portfolio company ComfortHost acquired the assets of Advantagecom Networks to expand ComfortHost’s global hosting footprint and add hardware-based virtualized cloud infrastructure capabilities. The deal is an add-on acquisition that keeps Advantagecom’s brand and existing team in place while expanding ComfortHost’s geographic presence into the U.S. Northwest and broadening its product offering.

WebPros Acquires Comet Backup

Miss Group Acquires Hoststar

Miss Group, the Perwyn-backed web hosting platform, has acquired Hoststar, one of Switzerland’s largest web hosting providers headquartered in Fraubrunnen. The deal expands Miss Group’s Swiss presence and customer base (Hoststar serves ~80,000 customers and ~180,000 domains), furthering the platform’s roll-up strategy in the DACH region and adding to recent Swiss acquisitions that lift combined turnover above €10 million.

The deal is an add-on to Miss Group's platform, expanding its Nordic footprint and Linux-managed hosting capabilities while integrating CloudNet's customers and expertise into Miss Group's international hosting network.

Scottish American Acquires Fastcomp

Scottish American acquired Fastcomp (Boston Heights, Ohio) on June 1, 2021; terms were not disclosed. Fastcomp operates a proprietary platform that streamlines placement of monoline workers' compensation for independent insurance agents, and Scottish American said the acquisition adds technology and distribution capability to its insurance distribution platform.
