Vitu Acquires Dealertrack Registration and Titling Businesses from Cox Automotive

Vitu has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Dealertrack’s registration and titling businesses (RTS, RegUSA, Accelerated Title and CMS) from Cox Automotive. The transaction, backed by Accel-KKR, is a divestiture by Cox Automotive intended to consolidate titling and registration capabilities under Vitu; terms were not disclosed and the deal is subject to customary closing conditions.

Vitu Acquires Jupiter Tag & Title Services

Vitu, a vehicle titling and registration technology platform, has acquired Florida-based Jupiter Tag & Title Services, Inc. Jupiter will operate under the Vitu name and Vitu plans to combine its automation and EFS expertise with Jupiter’s fifty-state titling experience to expand services for automotive dealers in Florida and nationwide. The deal supports Vitu’s plans to deepen relationships with the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles and broaden its regional capacity.

Vitu Acquires TitleNGo

Vitu, a nationwide vehicle titling and registration technology provider backed by Accel-KKR, acquired Pennsylvania-based TitleNGo on February 2, 2021. The acquisition integrates TitleNGo's PennDOT Online Registration Program Partner expertise and staff into Vitu to expand Pennsylvania operations and accelerate rollout of Vitu's electronic registration and titling (ERT) capabilities for dealerships and PennDOT.

Virtual, Inc. acquired Ottawa-based digital marketing agency inMotion DVS, Inc. and Massachusetts-based event production firm DMI Consulting to expand its web, video, digital marketing and event production capabilities for associations and enterprise clients. inMotion will remain a Canadian corporation under President Jamie McIntosh while the DMI team will support Virtual's in-person and online client events with strategic planning and on-site management services.

Dura Software Acquires DB Technology

Dura Software, a San Antonio-based acquirer and operator of hyper-niche software products, has acquired DB Technology, a workflow and process automation software company serving healthcare, retail and hospitality. DB Technology — founded in 1983 and based in Edison, New Jersey — will move its headquarters to San Antonio; Justin Brady has been named CEO and all employees will remain in their current locations.

RoadOne IntermodaLogistics Acquires DDI Transportation

RoadOne IntermodaLogistics has acquired DDI Transportation, a 38-year-old drayage and trucking business based in Ashland, Virginia. The deal expands RoadOne's domestic drayage and regional truckload capabilities on the U.S. East Coast and will integrate DDI into RoadOne's family of brands as DDI IntermodaLogistics.
