Avantus Aerospace Acquires California Screw Products

Avantus Aerospace, a portfolio group owned by Inflexion and Auctus Industries, has acquired California Screw Products (CalScrew), a Paramount, California-based manufacturer of high-strength aerospace fasteners. The acquisition is an add-on to Avantus's C-Class and fastener portfolio intended to expand capabilities and serve commercial and military aerospace customers; CalScrew's existing management will remain in place.

KKR-backed funds and accounts managed by KKR have acquired a majority equity interest in Avantus, a U.S. developer of utility-scale solar and solar-plus-storage projects. Coinciding with the close, Avantus secured a $522 million development facility arranged by KKR Capital Markets and SMBC to accelerate deployment of its more than 30 GWdc solar and 94 GWh storage pipeline across the Western United States.

QinetiQ US, a wholly owned subsidiary of QinetiQ Group plc, has agreed to acquire Avantus Federal from NewSpring Holdings for an enterprise value of $590 million. The deal expands QinetiQ's U.S. defense and intelligence capabilities by adding Avantus' cyber, data analytics, software development and space services, and is expected to close by the end of 2022 subject to regulatory approvals.
