Toronto-based private equity firm Lynx Equity Limited has acquired Yellowhead Wood Products Inc., a 30-year-old secondary wood remanufacturer headquartered in Edson, Alberta. The acquisition expands Lynx's wood re-manufacturing platform (joining Winfield Wood and Lath) and was supported by $3.5 million in acquisition financing from BDC Capital; the sellers were the shareholders of Yellowhead and the sell-side process was led by MNP Corporate Finance.

The acquisition adds Lowy & Donnath’s century-long electrical contracting expertise—notably in the healthcare market—to E-J’s national electrical contracting platform and expands E-J’s capabilities in the New York metropolitan area.
