AE Industrial Partners Acquires G.S. Precision

AE Industrial Partners, a private equity firm focused on aerospace, defense and specialty industrials, has acquired G.S. Precision, a Brattleboro, Vermont-based manufacturer of high-precision aerospace and defense components. Terms were not disclosed; G.S. Precision will continue to be led by CEO Norm Schneeberger, who will remain a significant shareholder.

G.S. Precision Acquires SMC Aerospace

Precision, a portfolio company of AE Industrial Partners, has acquired SMC Aerospace, a family-owned manufacturer of engineered tubes and machined components serving the aerospace and defense markets. The add-on expands G.S. Precision’s capabilities in precision tube and machined part manufacturing and will integrate SMC’s New Hampshire facilities and leadership into GSP operations.

GWS Tool Group Acquires STF Precision

GWS Tool Group, a portfolio company of L Squared Capital Partners, has acquired STF Precision, a North Carolina-based manufacturer of precision PCD, SCD and CBN cutting tools. The add-on strengthens GWS's product capabilities in rotary PCD/CBN tooling and expands its manufacturing footprint into the Carolinas; STF's leadership will remain with GWS in operational roles.

PHX Holdings Acquires Garrity Tool Company (GTC Machining)

PHX Holdings, the holding company of Phoenix Stamping Group and backed by JBA Capital, acquired Indianapolis-based Garrity Tool Company (renamed GTC Machining) on February 1, 2019. The acquisition adds precision machining capabilities (AS9100D, ITAR, ISO13485) in aerospace, defense and medical device markets and strengthens PHX's Midwest footprint.

Machinists Inc. Acquires The Gear Works

Graycliff Partners Acquires Gold Tech Industries

Graycliff Partners LP has completed the acquisition of Gold Tech Industries (GTI), a Tempe, Arizona-based provider of precision metal finishing and plating services for the semiconductor and aerospace industries. The deal represents Graycliff's third investment from its fourth private equity fund and is intended to accelerate GTI's growth as Graycliff targets additional acquisitions in the semi-cap metal finishing space.
