Wavenet, the Beech Tree Private Equity–backed unified communications and cloud provider, has acquired Qubic Group Plc, a Hertfordshire-based specialist in cloud, voice and data, in a multi-million pound add-on transaction. The deal, funded by Beech Tree Private Equity with support from Ares Management, strengthens Wavenet's UK cloud and voice capabilities and continues its buy-and-build strategy under Beech Tree's ownership.

Wavenet Acquires Portal Voice and Data Limited

Beech Tree Private Equity-backed Wavenet has acquired Portal Voice and Data Limited, a Norfolk-based unified communications and telecoms specialist, in a multi-million pound deal. The acquisition is an add-on as part of Wavenet's buy-and-build strategy and will expand Wavenet's product and geographic reach while giving Portal customers access to Wavenet's TeamsLink and other cloud telephony services.

VIAVI Solutions Acquires Spirent Communications

VIAVI Solutions has agreed to acquire Spirent Communications plc in an all-cash offer valuing Spirent at approximately £1,005 million (about $1,277 million), with Spirent shareholders to receive 172.5 pence per share plus a special dividend. The transaction, supported by a strategic convertible note investment from Silver Lake and committed debt facilities, is expected to close in the second half of 2024 subject to shareholder and regulatory approvals and is intended to create a leading provider of test, assurance and security solutions across service providers, data centers and mission-critical infrastructure.

Telesystem Acquires Managed Services Provider VoxNet
