Serco Acquires Whitney, Bradley & Brown (WBB) from H.I.G. Capital

Serco Group plc has agreed to acquire Whitney, Bradley & Brown, Inc. (WBB), a U.S. defence advisory, engineering and technical services provider, from an affiliate of H.I.G. Capital for $295 million. The acquisition — expected to close in Q2 2021 and funded through existing debt facilities — adds roughly 1,000 employees and data-analytics, cyber and systems-engineering capabilities to Serco’s North American defence platform and is immediately accretive to earnings.

The deal expands WBB's capabilities in systems and vehicle integration, prototyping, strategic communications and cybersecurity as an add-on to its federal government services platform.
