KKR Acquires Majority Stake in ERM from OMERS Private Equity and AIMCo

KKR has signed an agreement to acquire a majority position in Environmental Resources Management (ERM) from OMERS Private Equity and Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo), with ERM management and Partners remaining minority investors. The transaction, intended to accelerate ERM's growth and broaden its sustainability capabilities and technologies, is expected to close in Q3 2021 subject to regulatory approvals; financial terms were not disclosed.

ERM Acquires Stratos Inc.

ERM has acquired Stratos Inc., a Canada-based sustainability and ESG advisory firm founded in 2000 in Ottawa. The deal adds more than 30 Canada-based sustainability practitioners to ERM and strengthens ERM's sustainability and climate-change advisory capabilities and presence in Canada, including expertise in Indigenous partnership and stakeholder engagement.

ERM Acquires Coho

Accenture Acquires The Shelby Group

Accenture has acquired The Shelby Group, a Schaumburg, Illinois-based procurement technology consultancy, to expand its sourcing and procurement transformation capabilities. The Shelby Group's ~172 sales and delivery professionals will join Accenture's Connected Solutions group; financial terms were not disclosed and WestView Capital Partners completed the sale.

Bluespring Wealth Partners Acquires Shelton Financial Group

Bluespring Wealth Partners, an acquirer and partner of wealth management firms, has acquired Fort Wayne-based Shelton Financial Group and transitioned Shelton's investment business onto the Kestra Financial platform. Shelton's team — which oversees nearly $500 million in client assets — joined Bluespring to gain back-office resources, succession support and access to the Kestra ecosystem.

Asset Living Acquires Arizona-Based Shelton Residential

Houston-based property manager Asset Living has acquired Shelton Residential, an Arizona-based property management firm that oversees more than 17,000 multifamily units across Arizona, Texas, Colorado and New Mexico. The deal expands Asset Living's presence in the Southwestern U.S.; owners Tom and Pam Shelton and the Shelton team will join Asset Living to lead the company's Southwest region.
