Zimmer Biomet Acquires A&E Medical Corporation

Zimmer Biomet completed the acquisition of A&E Medical Corporation from private equity owner Vance Street Capital for $250 million. A&E Medical, headquartered in Farmingdale, New Jersey, is a designer and manufacturer of sternal closure systems, cardiac pacing wires and related disposable surgical products; the deal expands Zimmer Biomet's capabilities and product portfolio in cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical devices.

Zydus Lifesciences Acquires 85.6% Stake in Amplitude Surgical

Zydus Lifesciences agreed to acquire an 85.6% controlling stake in French medtech company Amplitude Surgical for €6.25 per share (total consideration €256.8 million) and has completed the block acquisition. Zydus will file a mandatory simplified cash tender offer for the remaining shares at the same price with the aim of securing >90% of capital and implementing a squeeze-out and delisting; Amplitude Surgical is a Valence-based leader in lower-limb orthopaedic implants with ~429 employees and ~€111m revenue (FY Jun 2025).
