CooperSurgical Acquires AEGEA Medical

CooperSurgical, a subsidiary of CooperCompanies, has acquired California-based AEGEA Medical and its FDA-approved Mara Water Vapor Ablation System. The acquisition expands CooperSurgical’s portfolio of in-office women’s health products by adding an endometrial ablation device for treatment of heavy menstrual bleeding.

ESAB Corporation (NYSE: ESAB) acquired Ohio Medical, LLC, a manufacturer of oxygen regulators and central gas systems, for $127 million in cash. The acquisition, purchased from a private investor group led by Tenex Capital Management, expands ESAB's medical gas control portfolio and is expected to be EPS accretive in the first year while providing cross-selling and global expansion opportunities.

CooperCompanies, through its CooperSurgical business, has acquired obp Surgical, a U.S.-based maker of single-use cordless surgical retractors and suction devices, for approximately $100 million. obp Surgical's ONETRAC products generated roughly $14.5 million of trailing twelve-month revenue; Cooper said the acquisition will be neutral to non-GAAP EPS in fiscal 2024 and accretive thereafter and will be reported in its Office and Surgical category.
