CooperCompanies (CooperSurgical) Acquires Safe Obstetric Systems

CooperCompanies, through its CooperSurgical business unit, acquired Safe Obstetric Systems, the UK-based maker of the FDA‑approved Fetal Pillow used in cesarean deliveries. The deal value is approximately £37.5 million in cash plus up to £10.0 million in contingent payments; Fetal Pillow generated about £3.5 million in revenue in 2020. The acquisition expands CooperSurgical’s women’s health / medical device portfolio and brings the Fetal Pillow into Cooper’s global distribution network.
