Greenbriar Equity Group has formed a new platform, Applied Aerospace & Defense, by combining Applied Aerospace and PCX Aerosystems to create a scaled supplier of precision flight, space and defense hardware. The combined company brings complementary capabilities in metal, composite and polymer manufacturing, more than 1,300 employees across nine locations in five states, and 1.3 million square feet of production and integration facilities to serve military, commercial aerospace and space customers.

Greenbriar Equity Group has acquired PCX Aerosystems, a precision manufacturer of flight-critical assemblies for rotorcraft and fixed-wing aerospace platforms. The acquisition closed concurrently with PCX's purchase of Senior Aerospace Connecticut and is intended to accelerate PCX's growth and expand its manufacturing capabilities serving OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.

Greenbriar Equity Group Acquires Sunvair Aerospace Group from Blue Sea Capital

Funds managed by Greenbriar Equity Group completed the acquisition of Sunvair Aerospace Group, a U.S.-based aircraft component MRO specialist, from Blue Sea Capital. Greenbriar said the investment will support Sunvair's organic growth and acquisition strategy to expand its engineered MRO capabilities across landing gear, avionics and accessory repairs.

Pursuit Aerospace Acquires Prescott Precision Die and Merc Aerospace

Pursuit Aerospace has completed the acquisitions of Prescott Precision Die, Inc. (Arizona) and Merc Aerospace, Ltd. (United Kingdom) to broaden its precision machining capabilities and expand its geographic footprint in the Southwestern U.S. and the U.K. The deals add heat-treatment, nondestructive testing, CMM inspection and plating capabilities to Pursuit's global aircraft engine component manufacturing platform.

Cadence Aerospace (Arlington Capital) Acquires B&E OEM Manufacturing Division

Cadence Aerospace, a portfolio company of Arlington Capital Partners, has acquired the OEM Manufacturing Division of B&E Group, adding two Massachusetts facilities (Southwick and Westfield) that specialize in complex, difficult-to-machine engine components for aerospace and defense customers. The deal expands Cadence's engine-component capabilities and creates scale across its Tell Tool and ADM operations as an add-on to the Cadence platform.

Greenbriar Equity Group Acquires West Star Aviation from The Sterling Group

Funds managed by Greenbriar Equity Group have acquired West Star Aviation, a leading business aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) provider, from The Sterling Group. Financial terms were not disclosed; Greenbriar said it will leverage its aviation aftermarket experience to accelerate West Star's growth and enhance its service capabilities across the company's national facilities and AOG technician network.
