Grain Management Acquires Majority Stake in Hunter Communications

Washington, D.C.-based private equity firm Grain Management has acquired a majority interest in Hunter Communications, a regional fiber-optic network operator serving southern Oregon and parts of northern California. The deal (terms undisclosed) will support Hunter's network densification and footprint expansion as the company prepares for growth under Grain's ownership.

Bushel Acquires GrainBridge

Bushel, an independent ag‑software company based in Fargo, North Dakota, has acquired GrainBridge, a joint venture technology team owned by ADM and Cargill. LightHouse, headquartered in Albuquerque, New Mexico (with a satellite office in Olathe, Kansas), provides outsourced IT services to SMBs and local governments across professional services, industrials, healthcare and non-profit verticals; the deal expands Riverside’s MSP footprint in New Mexico and the Midwest.

Great Plains Communications Acquires Wood River Network from Fiber Nebraska

Great Plains Communications (GPC), a Midwestern fiber operator backed by Grain Management, completed the acquisition of the 10.6-mile Wood River Network from Fiber Nebraska, LLC. The purchase extends GPC's fiber footprint into Wood River, Nebraska, enabling fiber-to-the-home and business services for roughly 500 homes and 60 businesses; financial terms were not disclosed.

Pittsburgh-based private equity firm 3 Rivers Capital has acquired Interlight, a family-owned online distributor of specialty and replacement light bulbs and batteries headquartered near Chicago. 3 Rivers Capital plans to partner with Interlight's existing management (the founder's three sons), install ecommerce veteran Jeffry Graham as CEO, and support growth through strategic and operational collaboration.
